Default Dollar reaches two-month low against yen

The U.S. dollar was trading at 2-month lows vs. the Japanese yen on Thursday on diminished expectations for U.S. growth.
The dollar fell to 116.32 yen from 116.72 yen late Wednesday. The move came as the U.S. celebrated the Thanksgiving holiday and Japanese markets were shuttered by the "Labor Thanksgiving" holiday.

The yen surged against the dollar on Wednesday after initial claims for state unemployment benefits rose last week to their highest level since late October, while consumer sentiment unexpectedly weakened in late November.

The euro also kept up its advance on the dollar. The euro rose to $1.2953 from $1.2938, with German economic confidence figures helping the shared currency.
