Hi

1. Foreign Exchange is the trading of one currency against another. Professionals refer to this as foreign exchange, or use the acronyms Forex or FX. The financial asset constituting Forex are “currency-pairs” like Euro and US Dollar, or US Dollar and Japanese Yen, and so on.

2. There is no central location of the Forex Market. It’s an OTC market where trades are conducted on phone or through internet, so you can virtually put a trade from anywhere and anytime.

3. The Forex Market is regulated through the regulation of the entities offering Forex Trading services.

For example, in USA, all the entities offering Forex Trading Services to its clients are regulated by National Futures Association (NFA) and Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

In UK, entities offering Forex are governed by Financial Services Authority (FSA).

Post Forex Market

You must have a reasonable and sound knowledge about market behavior. It is not possible enter the market and then learn about the nuances. That idea will be a risky proposition by all means. Besides you must have a good understanding about the international business and economics. These are crucial in determining the exchange rates.

Basics of FX Market

You have to closely monitor the exchange rates and then buy or sell them at a profit. For this purpose you must have an eye on the currencies traded frequently and that are not traded often. A fair idea about inflation and deflation in different countries will make your job much easier. You will be able to make profits if you buy currencies when their prices fall and sell when they increase and vice versa. Similarly, factors like political instabilities import and export policies of individual nations and domestic activities would change the exchange rate.

There is an important point to be considered while dealing with forex transactions Even though internet functions 24 hours all over the globe trading activities are always restricted to the business hours of the particular country/countries. Hence you must be aware of the time zones before entering into trade. If you do not have a clear idea about this your efforts and calculation might go waste.

Technical Analysis

Technical analysis of forex transactions are usually done by financial experts. Technical analysis implies the use of statistical and mathematical instruments to study the behavior of foreign exchange currencies. This is based on research of the market behavior. The idea is to predict the buying and selling prices in advance and act accordingly for getting more profits.

analyze the situation by that time. Since prices vary within fraction of seconds. Any delay only implies that you stand a great chance to earn lesser profits or even loss. You are therefore required to do maximum research and gather information. At the same time you must be prepared to face uncertainties, speculations and adversaries and those events that upset your calculations.

Set Price Limits for Your Investment and Category of Shares

You must have a clear focus on how much you can afford and what type of shares you are looking at. You can definitely deviate from these stipulations if it isn't risky and if you are likely to get better returns. Some shares move speedily in the market while the rest takes don't. There is no harm in dealing with both provided if you can plan and anticipate all the possible outcomes.

Know about Trading Commissions

There is another important issue when it comes to investment. You have to pay a percentage from the sale proceeds or the purchase price as trading commission. The amount may vary from case to case and will be calculated on the basis of standard procedures laid from time to time. You must take this into consideration carefully and also verify if the commission is included or excluded whenever price is quoted.
