Post Diversify to Minimize The Risk

You can earn good money with Get Paid to Surf Programs, but there are a lot of scams in this industry. Hundreds of programs offer very high percents and then dissapear with your money. After first few months of autosurfing you will be able to find a scam easily, though even honest admins are not always able to pay the payouts as needed if they don't have a good plan. But there is a way to ensure that the risk of losing your money will be minimal.
Investing only in one program can be very dangerous - if the program closes you risk to lose all your money. That's why it is so important to diversify your investments by joining as many autosurf programs, as possible. Depending on your spare time to surf and financial possibilities to upgrade, you should consider joining and surfing with 5-20 programs. There is no need to join too many programs, as there aren't many good programs. Hundreds of new autosurf programs are openned every year and most of them don't live long.
It's usually recommended to invest amount of money proportional to the creditibility of the program. That way you can ansure that most of your money is safe. Don't invest much in new programs. Old and reliable programs are more trustable as they have already proven their long term intentions.
Another question is do you need to join all the new programs? The best way is to perform your own due diligence on any program you may want to upgrade at and decide how reliable is it. As your autosurf experience grows, you will be able to recognize a scam very easily. If you need credits to advertise you sites, you can join some new program, which give free credits to new members.
Surfing over 50 programs can be rather difficult and time consuming, but if you choose to surf with many programs, you can divide them in two sessions, with 20-30 programs in every sessions (this number is not occasional, it's the number of tabs you usually can surf together in firefox without serious problems and without having to restart it every time).
And that leads us to the most important rule of minimizing your risk with paid to surf programs:

Split your investment between 5-20 best programs

Stick to the most reliable programs and your risk will be minimal.
